Once again this year, we are pleased to present UNGKLANG at the Castle in collaboration with Kulturpuljen in Gentofte.
Tickets are already on sale for this year's Christmas concert, which is traditionally held in the beautifully decorated Knights' Hall.
Last year's Christmas concert sold out within a week, so we had to organise an extra concert - so hurry and buy your tickets now.
Ungklang is an artistic community that utilises their individual strengths to create a strong, unique collective expression and product. In UngKlang, friendship is the foundation, which is reflected in their work.
Ungklang is both creative and performing, composing and arranging a large part of their repertoire themselves.
It will be possible to enjoy a glass of mulled wine in the castle's cosy cellar bar from 18:00.

In the UngKlang ensemble, the keyword is "contrast". And contrast is also the recurring theme for the ensemble's Christmas concerts in 2023. At a Christmas concert with UngKlang, you can expect a concert experience that will include both well-known Christmas classics and alternative, contrasting tones, arranged and written by the ensemble's own singers. UngKlang always plays with the audience's expectations of what a classical girls' choir is and sounds like. In addition to the music, the visual concept of the concert will also evoke cold, Christmas and light in the dark.
UngKlang is a musical community of nine young women aged 22-24. Despite their young age, they already have an impressive and broad CV and more than 15 years of experience singing together, including as singers in DR Pigekoret.
Last Christmas, the Christmas concert with Ungklang sold out very quickly and we had more than 100 people on the waiting list. Therefore, the Music Association on Folke Bernadottes Allé has asked the ensemble to give us two concerts on the same day this year, but seats are still limited so hurry up and get your ticket!
UngKlang is known from TV programmes such as TV2's "The Greatest Moments", the memorial service for the victims in Fields and in 2022 they were also lucky enough to perform for then US President Barack Obama.
Musician: Thora Kidon Jæger
Visual collaboration: Rhodflowers
As always, the church's cosy café will be open during the break and at the Christmas concert you can buy Glögg and Swedish Lucia balls.

Join us when the vocal ensemble UngKlang invites you inside for magical Christmas tones. A Christmas concert with a twist that challenges the audience's expectations of what a classic Christmas concert contains.
This year, UngKlang has invited double bassist Thora Jæger and florist Mathilda Nansen on stage.
The concert is organised by Hyltebjerg Church and will be held at Emmauskirken, Peter Bangs Vej 3C, Frederiksberg. Ticket price: DKK 75.
🍂 UngKlang is coming to Jutland 🍂
Cecilie Lind's acclaimed novel Porcupines, which turns Nabokov's classic Lolita upside down, becomes musical theatre in collaboration with the women's choir UngKlang. With 7 female voices on stage, we reveal corner by corner the veiled corners of the young girl's interior in a boundless work of untamed poetry and music.
SPRÆNG dance theatre and UngKlang vocal ensemble with their new musical performance "Lydbilleder", playing at Bådteatret from 10/5-2023 to 13/5-2023.

Together we have created a universe where music, song and dance merge. The beautiful acoustics of the church halls are filled with Nordic sounds; a repertoire that is a mix of Scandinavian compositions and our own arrangements.
The choreography is inspired by movements from nature - like when the colours of the Northern Lights float across the sky ✨
Our concert performance is based on our shared backgrounds in classical singing and ballet - and with these concerts we try to break with the common perception of classical music and dance.
